Magical Escapes

The Magical Escapes page set is about the world's most famous magician, Harry Houdini who was born as Ehrich Weisz in Budapest, Hungary on March 24, 1874. He began his magic career in 1891. From 1907 and throughout the 1910s, Houdini performed with great success in the United States. He would free himself from jails, handcuffs, chains, ropes, and straitjackets, often while hanging from a rope in plain sight of street audiences. His notable escapes were: Mirror handcuff challenge, Milk Can Escape, Chinese Water Torture Cell, Suspended straitjacket escape, Overboard box escape, Buried Alive stunt.
